About the event
Young children bring rich, intuitive understandings of mathematics with them into early childhood classrooms. This three-day institute, taught by Nick Johnson, Director, San Diego Math Project, will explore the power of young children’s thinking and the ways instructional activities (such as Counting Collections) can elicit and build from children’s natural brilliance.
Participants will receive a copy of The Young Child and Mathematics, Third Edition, published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
